The Ebco Flap Stay is an engineered cabinet support mechanism designed for horizontal-opening cabinet flaps used in wall units, bar cabinets, overhead storage, and similar furniture applications. Its dual-purpose design allows the stay to function both as a flap support and a utility shelf support, keeping the flap securely positioned in the horizontal position.

The stay incorporates an adjustable brake mechanism that compensates for variations in flap weight and size. This controlled braking action helps regulate the opening movement and prevents the cabinet flap from suddenly dropping or banging against the cabinet structure, improving both safety and operational smoothness.

The Flap Stay is supplied as a left- and right-handed pair, providing balanced support on both sides of the cabinet flap. When installed correctly, the supported flap can be used as a temporary shelf with a maximum load capacity of 12 kg.

Three length configurations are available — Regular (180 mm), Large (230 mm), and Extra Large (280 mm) — allowing the appropriate stay to be selected according to the cabinet's internal height. The stays are designed for easy installation and can be used with Plano hinges for optimized operation, while compatibility with regular hinges is also supported.
