The Godrej Cerus Universal Door Closer is a surface-mounted hydraulic door-closing solution designed to provide smooth, controlled, and consistent door operation across residential and commercial environments. Its adjustable closing and latching speed controls help regulate the movement of the door and reduce sudden slamming. The closer supports a 180° opening angle and is suitable for both standard and transom fixing configurations.

The closer uses a heat-treated steel rack and pinion mechanism immersed in high-grade oil, providing precise mechanical movement and resistance to wear. Its non-removable speed control valves provide leak-proof operation with minimal maintenance, while the thermostable hydraulic fluid enables reliable operation across temperatures from approximately -15°C to 50°C.

Constructed using PU-painted aluminium with a painted steel arm, the Cerus Universal is designed to provide corrosion resistance and durability during regular use. Its universal configuration supports left- and right-handed doors and can be used with wooden and metal doors. It is suitable for main doors, office cabins, hotels, hospital wards, air-conditioned rooms, and commercial buildings, and is life-cycle tested for 1 lakh operations.

The Cerus Universal is available in Silver, Matte Black, and Gold finishes, allowing the closer to coordinate with different door hardware and interior styles. It supports doors up to 85 kg and 1250 mm wide and comes with a 3-year warranty.
